I am an integrative arts psychotherapist. I co–create with my clients a safe, confidential, gentle, non-judgemental environment for genuine conversations and collaborations to occur. The studio (online or in person) is a potential space where through creative play clients and I commit to holding unknowns and together find new ways to foster curiosity and heal.
My work ebbs and flows between-
A humanist and phenomenological approach’s rooted in experimentation and exploration of what presents itself in the here and now. Enabling and experimenting with clients to allow them to become more connected to their feelings and explore how they make meaning and make sense of the world and their experiences.
Psychodynamic theories that focus on the psychological roots of emotional suffering. Exploring unconscious processes how the past impacts the present, bringing what was out of consciousness into awareness.
I feel it is important to understand the impact of the wider context on my clients. I am committed to being transparent and holding humility about things that I do not fully understand as well as being vigilant to my unconscious bias and allowing myself to make and learn from my mistakes.
I have experience working with a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression and stress. Areas I have a special interest in are developmental trauma, cultural issues and identity challenges.
