Origins and Approaches was the fruition of an ongoing conversation between Annabelle Dalby and I concerning narratives, fragments, collecting and archiving. This collection and paring of found images drawn from our own collections, offered the audience the potential for an ‘opening up’ of the narrative. Viewers are invited to draw from their own memories and experience, social and cultural, to engage with the work without relying on a predetermined explanation of origin or approach.
